The attic floor has a very specific purpose in chief architect home designer programs.

First launch home designer and open the plan in which you would like to turn off the display of attic walls.
As an example if you wanted to create 6 copies all separated a certain distance from each other you would check the copy box set the number of copies to 6 then check the option for move and set the x delta to be 24 negative values can also be set for each of the deltas if needed.
Select the 2nd floor room that was edited previously and click the open object edit button to return to the room specification dialog.
In home designer pro this setting is located near the center of the dialog rather than towards the top.

In the display optionsdialog scroll down to the walls attic layer remove the check mark in the dispcolumn then click ok.
Multiple copy is not available in home designer pro.
Instead use the transform replicate edit tool.

I have hdd 7 0 and i m having trouble figuring out how to design a finished attic.
Click ok to close the dialog and automatically generate a roof.
If you are using home designer pro check the box next to build roof planes.
This warning message will appear when you draw or place objects on the attic floor as opposed to a numbered floor like floor 0 1 or 2.
With pro you can lock certain roof planes and perhaps leave auto roof on but it is best not to rely on that.
Using the same line type edit handles.
