Start from the back then the sides that way you dont have a hole in the top of the igloo.
Place them in a circle working your way up.
If working on a slope or building your igloo into a hillside dig your trench directly.

Don t worry about the floor of the igloo it will collect the extra fallen snow as you build.
The entrance should be the last thing you build so work towards it.
Cut your trench in a way that places one of its short ends flat against the outer perimeter line of your igloo.
How to build an igloo.
Once complete i cut a small hole in the roof and built a small fire inside the igloo.
Smooth the edges of the blocks.
The heat melted the inside surface of the igloo slightly allowing it to refreeze and form a strong ice coating.
The igloo is now 3 weeks old and standing strong.
Make sure to scoop up the snow from the floor as it will give you extra material.
